About Us

Starting in September 2010, Concordia College’s Scheele Memorial Library began a story time program for the Chapel School children, ages K-2. Each month, a different class is invited to the library where they listen to two stories and participate in a craft/activity relating to the stories read.

Through this newly founded collaboration, Concordia’s Education students are granted more experience working with young children. The program also fosters literacy and most importantly, continues to increase the children’s love of reading.

  1. I’m glad to have stumbled on this site. What a fantastic use of descriptive language to convey the flavor of the books, that goes beyond the usual genre categories. I will definitely model this for my own students in the library.
