March 2014 – Mrs. Bartoszek’s Class

The imaginary garden

The Imaginary Garden by Andrew Larsen

The children were given paint brushes and a blank canvas to create their own individual gardens. They experimented with mixing different colors to create new and exciting shades. After the paintings had dried, they were stapled together to create one colorful garden for the classroom to enjoy.

Please check out their beautiful artwork on the left hand side of this page!

  1. Hello there,
I am Andrew Larsen, the author of The Imaginary Garden. The children have done a magnificent job in capturing the spirit of the story. They should all be proud of their work. Their beautiful gardens remind me that spring is just around the corner.
    Happy Spring!

    Yours in reading,

    • Thank you so much, Mr. Larsen, for commenting. The kids were ecstatic when they heard that you liked their paintings so much! Your story truly inspired them to explore colors and welcome the season.

Thanks again, and Happy Spring to you too!
